Itchy skin in 3rd trimester driving me insane -please answer :)?

I am just going to tell you my experience with itchy skin during pregnancy. Short answer is hormone in-balance. I was about 6 months preg. with twins and my skin itched everywhere with no rash what so ever. After going to a specialist out of my area, they told me it was hormones and gave me a prescription for a pill to take everyday. It worked almost immediately. As soon as I delivered I returned to normal within days. BTW I wasn't even given at test. The Dr. knew right away what it was. This was also done at a well know Hospital in the northest-Dartmouth Hitch so the Dr's have seen everything from A to Z.
