Cost for laying new gravel on driveway?

I have a driveway that is currently gravel, but needs work. The tire ruts are well worn and dirt in some places with gr down the middle. My contractor said he would lay new gravel, grade it, and dig some drainage ditches along a slight grade for $5600. The driveway is 2100 feet long and 8 feet wide. This price includes all the work, gravel, delivery, etc. Is this a good deal? FYI - the only other person in my area that does this type of work has not returned my calls for a bid.
