Question about Gastric Byp.?

At the age of 71, I do not think any doctor would preform any kind of bariatric surgery on her. Honestly I think about her only option would be diet and exercise. I understand that she is not very mobile. However if she was able to stick to a very structured diet that a doctor or nutritionist made, it WOULD work. Well I take that back, it would work as long as she does not have underlying thyroid or other endocrine problems that a doctor was not treating. I am sorry if that is not what you wanted to hear but at her age it is pretty much her only option. She would most likely die of complications if gastric byp surgery was performed.
