Is Sarcasm A Form Of Resentment?

For example, I met a guy who has the same name as my ex and I accidentally sent my ex the text meant for the new guy, b'cus heir names are listed under my contacts right under each other I changed my number prior to this and my ex didn't know the text was from me. Well, I apologize to him, tell him the text was meant for the other guy and not him. After ten minutes or so I get a reply from the ex saying " riiiight " obviously sarcasm lol.
