So apparently there are sets with a metric that are called metric spaces...if these are furthermore vector spaces armed with an inner product as their metric, and they are complete (cauchy sequences converge in the space) then they are hilbert spaces ? Do this before talking to a car salesman. After you decide on 3 or 4 model cars that suit you, Find out how much people are paying for them in the real world...not the sticker price world. The sticker price is several thousand dollars over the real price of the car. Always cap a maximum price in your mind before you talk to a salesman. Negotiate the final OTD (out the door - tax title and tags included) selling price....not the monthly payment. Never buy GAP insurance or any other add-ons from the dealer. The salesman's job is to swindle you out of your money. Be prepared to walk out. Never fall in love with any particular car before you buy it! Embrace the negotiation....make the salesman work really hard for every dollar. Go to the dealership, stay for several hours with the salesman, leave and come back at least 3 times and test drive it at least twice before buying. Do this with all 3 - 4 cars you have selected as candidates. Embrace the price negotiation process and make it fun for you and hard for the salesman. Enjoy the argument. Honda Nighthawk250 Questions?

I own a 2006 Honda Rebel. The Honda Rebel and Honda Nighthawk 250 have the same exact engine. According to the owners manuel it has a service life of 50,000 miles. I have 22,000 on mine. The Nighthawk has a smaller rear wheel sproket. But, other than style it is very similar to a honda rebel. This makes parts very cheap. The bike does not come with an oil filter which is probably why it has a service life of only 50,000 miles. Entry level bikes do hold their value. 11,000 miles is not much. Just be sure to change the oil every 3,000 miles. It takes 10W40. I use a synthetic oil but really any oin will do. I would offer $1100 and go from there. It is a good beginers bike for several reasons. The engine produces strong low to mid range for a 250. This makes it easier to learn the clutch and shifting. If you lay it down the blinkers are over designed and probably won't be damaged. But, if they are damaged they are cheap to replace. Front Brakes only cost $22.00 and rear brakes were $18. It is not a good bike for the highway. You will get about 50 mpg on the highway. But around town you should get around 80-90 mpg, depending on how you ride. It starts reliably. If you were to pay the full price you could sell it again in 2 years for $1100. That would only cost you $300 a year to learn to ride and decide what bike you want next. The nighthawk has a taller seat than the rebel. If you don't fit on the bike then look for a Rebel. The rebel started production in 1984 and has remained unchanged since.

Lakeside was always a good place to sled, but I'm not sure if they allow that anymore. But I would just drive around and find a hill somewhere. We live about 25 miles north of Denver and you can always find a place. You kind of have to get away from the city to find somewhere to sled, unless it's a park. Good luck! first off corian would be best, but as far as which is better on the countertop itself i would say granite (a) its generally smoother, usually polished which makes it very easy to clean. it is very hard to stain granite, porcelain is going to be a little tougher to clean and may stain easily. plus granite looks 1000 times better.

I am getting tattoos removed and my skin looks scarred!!!?

I recently got my fourth laser treatment done on one of my tattoos. All of the scabs peeled, but now my tattoo is very shiny. It is lighter, but it is shiny sort of like scarred skin. It ihas only been a week and a half since the treatement, but Im a bit nervous about this. Every session, she turns the laser up a bit more to break up the ink more. Something under my floor is making my carpet wet, and its spreading! What could be the cause of this?

It started off as a small wet spot in my hallway and I was confused because I didn't remember spilling anything. A couple days later I walked over that spot and my foot got soaked! Now the whole inside of the hall closet is wet, and half of my hallway is covered up by towels! My washing machine is next to the hall closet, but I have inspected all the lines and the bottom of the washer and nothing seems to be leaking. I am in a basement apartment, and it looks like this has happened before because the bottom of the drywall in the closet is deteriorated. I would like to figure out as much as much as possible before I talk to my landlord about it, because she won't know what to do either! We would at least need to know who to call....

How long will it take to get a replacement pport?

My partner, from Trinidad & Tobago had his pport stolen in London. He has applied for a replacement but was told that his doents will first have to be sent to Trinidad and then returned to London before his application can be processed. The whole process he was told could take twice as long as a normal application, i.e. 6 months instead of 3 months. He needs to also replace his stolen British ID card but cannot apply for that until he has a replacement pport. The replacement ID application must be made to the UKBA within 3 months of the loss. Without the pport he cannot apply for the replacement ID and without that he cannot apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK which he needs to do before the end of the year. What advice can anyone offer? Has anyone any experience of stolen pport from the Carribean and how long it takes to replace? Low D "jumping" on tenor sax?

I've played Bari sax for four years and I'm being made to play tenor for marching band this year. I just got a Selmer TS500, and when I play low notes (specifically D and E) sometimes it will "jump" like it will sound as if I'm playing with another tenor and I'm horribly out of tune. Sometimes it will make constant waves, sometimes it will just do it a couple times, and sometimes it will make a solid tone. Tonguing seems to make it do it sometimes. The instrument is brand new, I've checked for leaks and cant find any. I can play Alto and Bari fine so I dont THINK it's my embouchure but I could be wrong. Anyone ever had this before or have any idea whats wrong?

My sisters condition?

Well I live about 5 hours from home. I go to Kent State University for Clinical Psychology. Two months ago I got a phone call from my mother, saying my sister may be gowing through a psychological problem. Let me just say. We are questioning out religion, we were an agnostic family. Now im confused. My mother said my sister (12 years old (good kid never EVER had a problem with her)) was pulling her hair, screaming very loud, and punching walls, doors ect. Her hands began to bleed. My mother had taken her to psychiatrists, and they wanted her to go in for an MRI. Which they had done and found nothing. They ran more tests and found nothing. They believed my 12 years old sister to have schizophrenia. A week went by and she began to shake, she grabbed a steak kife and stabbed her hand. Again, she went to the ER. My parents were in the waiting room when i finally showed up. We are sitting there talking to my sisters doctor telling us they are giving her some psychological test. We then began to hear screaming, and different languages ( Finnish, Latin, and Aramaic). It was indeed my sister. I have never been so scared and shocked in my life to see my sister acting like that. She started to drink her own urine, and clawing at her eyes. Doctors told my mother recently, they have never seen a 12 year old act in such manor or even prefect these languages. They suggested to see an Exorcist. (The man/woman performing the exorcism) This was not just one doctor telling my parents, it was multiple. I am so confused. This is not a lie. She did not repeat any languages from the exorcism of emily rose either. Ive seen many of those movie and thought it was all BS. Now im really confused. Even the docs said that. What should we do. I am worrying every day about this. This is not funny. Weather she be the most crazy 12 years old out there speaking languages that doctors can understand but not me. Or be possessed. Either way. Can a dwarf rabbit live with my guinea pigs?

So I went to the puppy den today, and I have two male guinea pigs. They get along fine, great really. The older one really baby's the younger one and is pretty sweet to him. I have never seen them even act rudely toward one another. They are very accepting. They have not always lived together, I had some problems with my old guinea pig and had to give him away because he was mean. I got advice to be careful when I introduced them, and I was. They got along just fine, and I never had to stop them from attacking each other. I saw a dwarf rabbit at the puppy den and fell in love with it. It's much less jumpy than the guinea pigs, and doesn't pee or poop on you. The lady said they could live together and they wouldn't fight. I really want it and would love to put them together as my cage is huge, I built it myself. Please let me know if you think it's a good idea. Thanks

Should I take Estrogen after having a full hysterectomy?

I have had abdominal pain since my daughter was born(04/01) and am finally getting a full hysterectomy done. I am 31 years old and have read where it is recommended for women to take estrogen if they have a hysterectomy before there 50's. When i asked my doctor about this and told him what i had researched he seemed annoyed and told me that most doctors don't recommend taking them anymore and that there are other better drugs out there to help out with some of the side effects of having a hysterectomy. I have been on Lupron for 6 months and have had the hot flashes and mood swings and can deal with those but am having issues with major hair thinning and my exzema acting up alot more and in new places as well and I really need to find a way to get these issues under control.I have a history of cancer in my family and have also reseached and found that taking it will increase my risk as well. What should I do?

Itchy skin in 3rd trimester driving me insane -please answer :)?

I am just going to tell you my experience with itchy skin during pregnancy. Short answer is hormone in-balance. I was about 6 months preg. with twins and my skin itched everywhere with no rash what so ever. After going to a specialist out of my area, they told me it was hormones and gave me a prescription for a pill to take everyday. It worked almost immediately. As soon as I delivered I returned to normal within days. BTW I wasn't even given at test. The Dr. knew right away what it was. This was also done at a well know Hospital in the northest-Dartmouth Hitch so the Dr's have seen everything from A to Z.

Tonight, out of my love of anything that combines the flavor of hot wings with the flavor of blue cheese dressing, I made a buffalo chicken salad. The ingredients were er lettuce, ice burg lettuce, spinach, buffalo chicken strips (I made these by baking breaded chicken that were also coated in hot wing sauce, then cutting them up), and cheddar cheese. I used blue cheese dressing, my hubby and kids prefer ranch. We also had french bread on the side. My husband (who will often choose to make just pancakes or declare "snack night" on his rare nights that he cooks), tells me that a salad (no matter if it contains all four food groups) is NOT a dinner, it's an appatizer. What do you think? I got full before I finished mine. He insisted he needed a bowl of cerial after his.

Wayy to overprotective parents!!!?

well i am 16 years old with extremely strict parents and i am not exaggerating one bit:( i'm not allowed out late, i mean last saturday i came in at 7.45 and they started shouting at me even though it wasn't even 8 yet!!! they say im not allowed out when its dark which is stupid because its winter now and it gets dark by the time its 4, do they expect me in at 4? that's when most of my friends go out and they are all allowed out until like 11 or 12. i'm not even asking them to let me out until 11 i just want a little bit more freedom, im happy with getting in at 8 even if it is early for a 16 year old but to my parents say that's too late. i'm not allowed out every weekend, i can only go out a few times a month which sucks, they say all i have to do is study. and that's not the least of my worries, i just started going out with this boy who i really really like and he likes me too, he mails me everyday saying how much he likes me and hes just an amazing boy. hes so sweet and he could never ever harm me, i know it but the thing is i'm going to lose him because i'm not allowed a boyfriend therefore i have to keep him a secret and the thought of losing him hurts me so much:( this is just way too much pressure for any girl to handle, i feel as though im about to have a meltdown. i have tried speaking to them like a mature adult but they just wont listen. im a very good girl and try to keep them happy and all my grades are the top of the cl. i dont know what else they want from me:( this might make my parents sound like horrible people but they arnt i love them to bits and i know the only reason why they are so protective is because of how much they care about me but i really cant handle it anymore. all i want is just a tiny bit more freedom, is this too much for a 16 year old girl to ask for? Being questioned about a road rage incedent I know nothing about.?

I wouldn't even worry about this, but a cop called me today to ask me if I was on a certain highway at a certain time, and if a drive a black honda, etc... I do drive a purple honda, but wasn't in that area last night. Apparently someone claims that a person driving such a vehicle threw something out of thier car at this other persons car. The reason I worry is that its obvious that someone has reported my plate #, which is how the officer got to me. He claims that she saw the person and that he will present a photo lineup to her tommorrow...and if she ID's me that i'll be charged with criminal damaging. This is BS. I could have pissed someone off anywhere at anytime and they can claim that I damaged their car? How can they link that damage to me? It might be a coincidence. But at any rate, you should see a doctor and tell him you've changed your diet. Ask for a blood test so you can see if there is any nutritional deficiencies. But I would guess it's just random. I've never heard of vegetarianism causing sneezing or a sore throat.

Rosetta Stone works through repetition, simply by repeating the word and showing the same photo over and over, they think you will get it. I ped Spanish 101 and Spanish 102 with an A along with using the Rosetta Stone online subscription, I went through the entire course through level 3, and it truly only helped minimally. At least it causes you to be immersed in it, but it doesn't cover much, such as verb conjugations. It just figures it doesn't have the right picture to teach those things. However, it can help with learning prepositions, grammar and sentence structure. It definitely does have its limitations.

If you are using your vcr or dvd via video jacks, then the tuner in the tv is not used during that time. The older sony tv's had tuner issues caused by bad connections on one or more of three possibilities. the tuner,the aft coil , and the regulators i.c's. UFC isnt being greedy. There being realistic on there investments. Just like the nfl and baseball they cant pay every guy big money who wants it. I love KY Intrigue, its silky smooth and lasts long. A little bit goes a long way. I think any sort of lube will enhance sensitivity just because its getting everything all wet and slippery. Why do I find a grade 4 song harder to sing than a grade 7 song?

I'm taking clical vocal lessons, have been working on Mozart's 'Un moto di gioja' and Giordani's 'Caro Mio Ben' (not sure if I got the correct composer name). Well, I was curious so I checked out the ABRSM website for the syllabus of each grade, and I found out that 'Un moto di gioja' is listed in the grade 7 repertoire, and 'Caro Mio Ben' is listed as grade 4. The weird thing is, although the notes of Caro Mio Ben are simpler and don't go as high (or as low) as those in Un Moto Di Gioja, I find it more difficult to sing properly? Other than the tempo difference (and hence length of phrases), both are in pretty much the same range. It actually started getting so bad that my teacher is leaving it off for now and concentrating on the Mozart plus my other songs, for the sake of my voice. Even she says that Caro Mio Ben is hard to sing. Is it something to do with the kind of voice I have ('fach') or vocal maturity? Obviously I'm a soprano so it's not a matter of wrong vocal range.

At the age of 71, I do not think any doctor would preform any kind of bariatric surgery on her. Honestly I think about her only option would be diet and exercise. I understand that she is not very mobile. However if she was able to stick to a very structured diet that a doctor or nutritionist made, it WOULD work. Well I take that back, it would work as long as she does not have underlying thyroid or other endocrine problems that a doctor was not treating. I am sorry if that is not what you wanted to hear but at her age it is pretty much her only option. She would most likely die of complications if gastric byp surgery was performed. Would you fire the Nationals manager for benching Adam Dunn to many times this season?

I think Riggleman has done a pretty good job with the Nats this year. It sucks to see Dunn pulled out in late innings for a defensive replacement or miss games altogether because he has such great power. I don't watch the Nationals day in and day out so I can't say I know how many games might have been won or lost based on Dunn's defense at first. I do think if Riggleman is fired it will not be because of benching Dunn. He might need to be let go for other reasons, but I wouldn't say that is one of them. Would you rather Manny Acta stayed on as manager?

Few days ago my 17 years old son went through Brostrom procedure and arthroscopic debridement on both of his ankles for chronic instability, at the hospital, as the operation completed, he shall not be able to walk for a little while. The problem is his bedroom is in the third floor, we decided the best possible way is to put him in the guest bedroom in the Second floor until he's strong enough to walk the stairs, as we have no available separated room in the ground floor, because we torn down most of the separating walls when we moved in, except the garage and a small storage where brooms and gardening kits belonged, that means he had to be carried around by my husband which he couldn't stand the idea, because it is embarring according to him, especially when his friends come to visit, like for god sake it your own dad! can't you just cooperate?! either my son is being impossible or we are the one who're treating him like a child?

Guys? is my body a huge turn off?

No.. the chest is kind of a let down, but it's seriously not a big deal. If it's only toned, then you're fine.. but if you have pretty large biceps and / or veins that pop out of your hands, then it is a turn-off. I have a crack in my drywall leading from the structural ceiling beam to the corner of the fireplace mantel?

It is approximately four feet in length and is sort of a gradual slope from one to the other. I have tried, unsuccessfully to patch it with the mesh plastic tape. I did make a groove in the wall in the crack like a ditch, my dads advice. But it still re-cracks over time. What would be the RIGHT WAY to fix this issue? So I was just in the shower, and suddenly I felt the impulse to close my eyes. (Even as I'm typing this my body is getting goosebumps). I did and it felt like hot water (not the water from the shower though) was washing over my soul. I snuck out with my 2 friends at 1 in the morning and we went to the park and it was pitch black and they had 2 huge ziploc bags filled with like 10 big blue mushrooms. I ate 6, they only ate like 3, and it was my first time ever doing any drug, and i took way to much. At first i was giggiling and seeing colors and i thought it was pretty cool. That lasted for about 10 minutes. I kept looking back and my friends were farther and farther away from me it was like i was walking ahead of them and there was a point where i was alone and couldnt see or hear them, and i dont know why or how. The park soon turned into a swamp with mushing up water and tall trees and fog all around me. The sky kept turning a really dark blue or black or purple. The trees were in weird shapes, like guitars, and one of them was of a fairy with wings. I was wandering around aimlessly for about 1 hour and on the way i kept finding these thick books and i would open it and it would only open to a certain page and each book i found it would be a different insult to me or it telling me something, like "Keep it up, your alost there, where ever there is, probably nowhere. and "isn't it funny how everything close to you ends up leaving?" After a while i saw these cloaked people yelling like sirens and would run at me and right before they could get me they would disapear. They kept running at me, and soon i started finding dead bodies in the middle of the path, like of my mom, my dad, my best friend, my teacher, and every 5 minutes i would find a new one. Then, i was running from the cloaked people and the bodies, and around a corner came my uncle, whoes been dead for 3 years. He smiled at me in a creepy way and said " You won't be able to fight your way out of this situation, you really did it this time." then he walked away into the darkness. Then i came to a dead end and my mom was standing there and she said " its over now, just calm down and breathe and you can get out of this hell..or you could always stay here with me." then she dissapeared and i felt really tired from everything..(i was still in the swamp land) So i just got on the floor and i fell asleep almost instantly and i was so scared and sweating and shaking. When i woke up i was laying down in someones backyard and it was 5 in the morning and my friends were standing over me trying to wake me up and i got home before my mom was up...that was the worst thing thats ever happend to me.. I cryed it was so scary i just wanted it to stop..and btw when i fell asleep did i p out or did i just collapse because i was so tired? And why do you think i was alone for it and how my friends found me? Overall what are your thoughts and opinions

Cost for laying new gravel on driveway?

I have a driveway that is currently gravel, but needs work. The tire ruts are well worn and dirt in some places with gr down the middle. My contractor said he would lay new gravel, grade it, and dig some drainage ditches along a slight grade for $5600. The driveway is 2100 feet long and 8 feet wide. This price includes all the work, gravel, delivery, etc. Is this a good deal? FYI - the only other person in my area that does this type of work has not returned my calls for a bid.

Painful ovulation, shorter/lighter periods? Whats going on!?

I'm 26 years old and have had normal periods for years. They always lasted 6 days- being very heavy on the 2nd and 3rd day. About a year and a half ago I started having painful ovulation, but it never effected my periods. The past 3 months or so, my periods have been lighter and shorter lasting only 3-4 days and tapering off after the 2nd day. I do not have heavy bleeding anymore either. The painful ovulation seems to be lasting longer now- about 2 days and seems to happen every month instead of every few months or so. I've also been getting more symptoms of PMS the week before, and cramping during the first day of my period- also not normal for me. I have been ually active and am wondering if this could be producing more hormones and could have anything to do with it? I am in school full time and am more stressed than usual, but would this affect the flow or the cycle? I am still every 28 days like clockwork. And being in school, I can't afford to get checked out until June. Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Silver ring..finger green?

I got a silver ring when I was on a mission trip in Haiti over my spring break, I wear it everyday, and now where it lays on my finger is greenish. Please don't tell me it's not real, because I know it is, I even met the guy who made my ring and they are not technologically advanced enough to make a copper ring and cover it with silver. I have 2 daughters my first daughter is 2 years old (weighing 24lbs) and you could put my baby picture next to her and its an identical match brown hair, brown eyes the only difference is she is a girl of course and she has the most beautiful curly locks and my hair was wavy but other than that she's basically me as a girls. What first started my doubts was before my "second" daughter was born was the fact that we weren't intimate nearly as much as we were prior to my first daughter due to small bickering, it still happened but not as much. When first daughter was born I stayed in the hospital for 7 days without hesitation and when I held her it like there wasn't anything in this except me and her, that's really the only way to discribe it. I felt so connected and knew everything in my life was perfect. Then when my second daughter was born (although I felt very sceptical) I was there at the hospital when she was born. I was excited never the less and put the sceptisism to the side and when I finally held her I didn't have the same connection it just felt wrong, the very next day I went back to work (that's how strongly I felt about it) and I carried that guilt with for a long time. As I said before my first daughter is 2 years old, brown hair, brown eyes and weighs 24lbs and there is no denying she looks just like me. Now my second daughter is 1year and eight days younger and weighs 22lbs stands just as tall as my first daughter with blonde hair and blue eyes. Also my fiance is brown hair brown eyes as well. I've asked everyone I know to tell me who my second daughter looks like and nobody has said that she looks like me or her (my fiance), And what finally sent me over the top was two days ago my fiances mom said and I quote. "Are you sure this baby is y'alls". Now knowing that her mom knows good and well she came out of my fiance, to me what she really meant to say is " are you sure this baby is mine". For 13 months I've treated her as if she was my own, never putting one in front of the other and just being as good of a father I can be. At first it was hard to be around her (my second daughter) because I didn't feel the same, no matter how hard I tried I didn't have the same instinctive feeling as I did and still do with my first daughter. Now I don't know what to do.I have never neglected her and over time grew closer to her until my fiances mom made that comment and now all I can think about is all the overwellming feeling that she is not my daughter. No one on either side of the family has blonde hair or blue eyes and as she gets older she still looks like either one of us.
